M 7.5 ANDAMAN SEA EARTHQUAKE

Earthquake's epicenter positioned in the subdyction border betwen Indian Ocean Plate and Eurasian Plate. As its focus mechanism show that the earthquake is the result of this subduction activity activity, which low angled-subducted beneath the island of Sumatra. Earthquake with a depth of 35 km was followed by seven small - moderate scale aftershocks with a magnitude range 4.5 and 5.2.

M 7.2 MEULABOH EARTHQUAKE

The Sunday earthquake's epicenter positioned close to M9.2 Aceh earthquake on 2004. As its focus mechanism show that the earthquake also resulted from the same source as tsunami 2004, Indian Ocean Plate - Australia's subduction activity. Earthquake with a depth of 45 km was followed by tsunami at West Coast of Aceh Province and East Coast of Simelue Island.

M 6.5 BENGKULU EARTHQUAKE

The earthquake occurred early this morning is the result of the Indian Ocean Plate - Australia's activity, which low angled-subducted beneath the island of Sumatra. Focus Mechanism of this earthquake parameter concluded that the earthquake was the subduction earthquake altough the position of epicenter very close to Mentawai Fault System. Same earthquake size, M6.5, also occurred at the same spot on 5th of March 2010. seems like the colission between these two plates release its energy bit by bit.

M 7.7 ACEH EARTHQUAKE

Surprisingly this earthquake's epicenter positioned very close to M8.6 Nias earthquake on 2005. As its focus mechanism show that the earthquake is the result of the Indian Ocean Plate - Australia's activity, which low angled-subducted beneath the island of Sumatra. Earthquake with a depth of 31 km was followed by two moderate scale aftershocks with a magnitude 5.0 and 5.2. Focus Mechanism of this earthquake parameter concluded that the earthquake was the subduction earthquake.

Earthquake with a depth of 22 km was followed by an aftershock with a magnitude 6.5. Focus Mechanism of this earthquake parameter concluded that the earthquake was the subduction earthquake altough the position of epicenter very close to Mentawai Fault System.
