MAIPARK Indonesia Reinsurance (MAIPARK) received a visit from the delegation of the Lord Mayor of London, Alderman Vincent Keaveny and the team at the MAIPARK office. They were welcome by Mr. Kocu Andre Hutagalung as President Director of MAIPARK accompanied by Mrs. Imelda Siahaja as Director of Finance, Mr. Heddy Agus Pritasa as Technical Director and Mr. Kornelius Simanjuntak as one of the founders of MAIPARK. This visit is in the context of the global campaign on the post-COP26 Sustainable Financial System, considering that London is one of the world's financial service capitals.
In addition, this visit was also part of the follow-up to the Surabaya Earthquake Resilience Project program carried out by Mott MacDonald together with the Surabaya City Government and ITS using funding from the UK Prosperity Fund. MAIPARK Indonesia is an important part of the implementation of this program given its unique position as a representative of the Indonesian general insurance industry, complete with its knowledge foundation and series of natural disaster risk research.
Many things were agreed upon during this visit as part of efforts to create an Earthquake-Resilient Indonesia. This collaboration targets in the near future a program to increase public awareness and design parametric earthquake insurance products for the Surabaya City pilot project.
