Thursday, August 26, 2021, there was a tectonic earthquake in the Ampana City area, the capital of Tojo Una-una Regency, Central Sulawesi Province. Information from BMKG this earthquake had a magnitude of 5.8Mw at a depth of 10km with the epicenter location at 0.83 South Latitude.
121.5 East Longitude. This earthquake is a shallow earthquake and is thought to be caused by local fault activity, namely the Balantak Fault which is a right lateral faulting fault.
