It has been 17 years since MAIPARK has gone through various the business stages. Starting from the Earthquake Reinsurance Pool (PRGBI) in 2003, then becoming PT Asuransi Maipark Indonesia in 2004, and strengthening its position as PT Reasuransi Maipark Indonesia in 2014. With a vision of becoming an internationally recognized leader in disaster reinsurance in ASEAN, MAIPARK is expected to become a Centre of Excellence and Competence, with high standards of professionalism.
According to circular letter SE-6047 / LK / 2003 from the Director General of Financial Institutions, Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, all General Insurance Companies and Reinsurance Companies are stipulated to become MAIPARK shareholders, which currently they are 84 shareholding companies with equals voting rights.
MAIPARK's constitution stipulates the Company management is consisting of Commissioners and Directors with a three years servicing period. With the President Commissioner of the company is ex-officio Chairman of the General Insurance Association of Indonesia (AAUI) to represents the vast majority of minority shareholder, two representatives from the two largest shareholders, one represents the company with the biggest premium contribution for five years, and an independent commissioner who is elected by the shareholders. MAIPARK's Board of Directors consists of President Director and two Directors who are all elected by the shareholders.
Further, as mandated by article 11.3.b and 14.3.b in company constitution, the Directors and Commissioner selection committee has been established with members from board of commissioner and member from company’s nomination and remuneration committee which further will be referred as “Pansel” With a strong reference to company Vision & Mission and coupled with the current company condition, Pansel had undergone an extensive strategic talent management session to identified the required director’s soft competences and leadership profile to enable Maipark to achieve its vision and effectively executed its mission.
The world class standard Development Dimension int’l© Talent Strategy methodology has been used by Pansel to identified the required soft competency profiles with the help of HR Consulting expert from PT Daya Dimensi Indonesia (DDI). After three extensive strategic sessions, as an integral part of the methodology, Pansel had identified and agreed to the following executive competency profile.
As an integral part of the selection effort and transparency assurance of the process, following a selection process from Pansel, a short listed of 3 (Three) director candidate from each position will undergone “A Day In A Life” extensive competency profile assessment by DDI. The assessment report from all candidates then will be compiled into a shareholder’s infopack which will be distributed to all shareholders prior to the voting process. Due to this transparency mechanism, for those who do not wish/agree that their assessment result/reports to be used in this manner are not eligible apply. By applying to any position offered, the applicants are fully aware and agree that their assessment result including, but not limited to personal applicant data, to be shared among the shareholder.
